Chris G. Buss "Bussy"

Chris G. Buss, “Bussy”, 50, of Beatrice passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at his home on Monday May 28, 2018.  He was born March 27, 1968  in Beatrice and graduated from Beatrice High School in 1986.  He attended SCC in Milford and received an associate degree as a diesel ag equipment service technology.  He worked for John Deere in Beatrice for several years and was a dedicated farmer ever since.   He married Joan Kramer on August 14, 1993 at Beatrice and they had two children, Brooke and Bryce.  They later divorced.  He married Tina Griffith on March 5, 2011 at Beatrice.  He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice.  He was also a member of Aerie #531 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Beatrice.  He enjoyed farming, his friends and family, and Friday nights in the shop.  He had an amazing smile and would light up a room with his personality.
Survivors include his wife, Tina of Beatrice; children, Connor Buss of Beatrice, Brooke Buss and special friend Jordan Pohlman, both of Lincoln, Bryce Buss and special friend Cheyanne Baumann of Beatrice and Dylan Buss of Beatrice; his mother, Betty Buss of Beatrice; one brother, Jerry Buss and special friend Kim Williams of Beatrice; one sister, Gail Kruse and husband Jim  of Sunrise Beach, MO; parents-in-law, Del and Janie Griffith of Aurora and brother-in-law, Jeff and Melissa Griffith of Phillips; several nieces, nephews and many, many friends.  
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Buss; brother, Phil; grandparents, Hermann and Alvina Buss and Ehme and Jennie Busboom.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice with Pastor Greg Gabriel officiating.  Burial will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice.  A family prayer service will be held at 9:45 a.m. in the chapel of the church on Saturday.  
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family’s choice with Stan and Cheryl Wirth in charge.  The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice from 8 a.m. Thursday until 9 p.m. Friday and at the church one hour preceding the services on Saturday.  The family requests that casual attire be worn for the service.  Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
