Theresa (Traci) L. Wiese

Celebration of life service for Theresa L. Wiese “Traci”, 53, of Norfolk will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Norfolk. Officiating the service will be Pastor Caleb Lind. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday at First Baptist Church in Norfolk. Theresa died Monday, May 7, 2018 at the Bergan Mercy Medical Clinic in Omaha. Stonacek Funeral Chapel of Norfolk is in charge of the arrangements.
Theresa L. “Traci” Wiese, daughter of Edmond and Joyce (Thompson) Ferry, was born Oct. 30, 1964, in Lincoln. She attended Pierce High School and Norfolk High School. She then went on to receive her registered nursing degree from Northeast Community College.
Theresa worked in the medical field in various nursing homes and hospitals. She was employed as a nursing instructor at NECC, did pediatric in home care for Craig Home Health Care and did home health care with Coram of Omaha. She was very proud of what she did and was very proud of being a nursing instructor at the Northeast Community College in Norfolk.
She married Drew Wiese on June 1, 2002, at Gilman Park in Pierce.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Norfolk. She enjoyed motorcycle riding, horses, dancing, driving her red Mustang, cooking and planning all the family events. She was a Boy Scout leader and dabbled in acting. Theresa also loved her dog, Harley, and loved decorating her home.
Survivors include her spouse, Drew Wiese of Norfolk; her children, Nathanial Ferry of Winside, Joseph (Andrea) Luna of Norfolk and Danielle Luna of Norfolk; a stepson, Dustin Wiese of Carroll, Iowa; six grandchildren, Marketta, Myles, Baden, Brendyn, Noah and Wesley; her mother, Joyce Ferry of Norfolk; her siblings, Tamela (Kevin) Korth of Pilger, Tonette (Jeff) Bates of Plainview and Timothy (Carrie) Ferry of Osmond; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edmond Ferry.
Music will be provided by soloist Doreen Johnston singing “I’ll Fly Away,” and the congregation, singing “Amazing Grace.” “Sunshine” by John Denver will be the recorded song.
