Melanie Cranmore

Melanie Katherine Cranmore, 66, of Marquette, peacefully passed away to be with the Lord on April 19, 2018 at CHI Health St Francis in Grand Island.  Memorial Services will be held Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the United Presbyterian Church in Central City with Pastor Jim Garfield officiating.  Burial will be at a later date.

Melanie was born October 2, 1951 to Raymond and Carolyn (Jasnoch) McColloch in Ogallala.  She graduated from Garden County High School in Oshkosh.  Melanie was married December 9, 1969 to Butch Cranmore and was happily married for more than 48 years.  She worked at Hamilton Manor in Aurora for 22 years, retiring in 2011 due to health reasons.

 Melanie’s faith as a Christian was not only a foundation for her life but everyone she knew and loved.  She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Aurora and a past member of the Presbyterian Church.  Melanie enjoyed singing and reading.  Melanie especially loved attending her grandkids’ games and events when her health allowed it.
Melanie is survived by her husband, Butch; sons, Clint Cranmore and Jaeson Cranmore, both of Marquette; daughter Brooke (Jim) Boyce of North Bend; four grandchildren, Tristan, Nathan, Kendyl and Izek; sisters, Connie Whittemore of Ogallala and Susan (Rick) Anderson of Paxton; brother Jamie (Cristee) McColloch of Oshkosh; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
