Louis Dean Quiring

Louis Dean Quiring, 81, of Henderson, died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Bryan West in Lincoln.  Funeral services will be Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City with Pastor Vic Crane officiating.

Louis was born on July 21, 1936 to John and Lena (Penner) Quiring in Henderson.  He grew up in the Hampton area and attended Hillcrest District 3 school.  He married Grace Smith in 1956 and they were married for 37 years.  He began farming at an early age and farmed most of his life.  He was a very good mechanic and especially working on irrigation power units and old tractors.  Louis liked to go dancing and spending time at the York Eagles Club.
He was a member of the York Eagle’s Club and was confirmed at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson.
He is survived by two sons Greg and Nancy Quiring of York;  Galyn and Sandra Quiring of York;  one daughter Monica Quiring Stingley of Henderson; three sisters Sophie Buller and Elda Peters of Henderson and Thelma Velba of York;  8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Herman Quiring; three brother- in-laws Jacob Buller, Marvin Peters and Dave Velba.
