Roger E. Sundberg

Roger E. Sundberg of Omaha passed away March 22, 2018 at the age of 70. He was born Aug. 3, 1947.
Roger proudly served in the United State Army during the Vietnam War, earning the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantry Badge, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Sharpshooter, Expert and Marksman Badges.  He proudly served on the United States VA Honor Guard playing Echo Taps.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, April 14 at 4 p.m. at the West Center Chapel of Heafey Hoffmann Dworak & Cutler Mortuary in Omaha, with full military honors.  The family will receive friends before the service from 2-4 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Roger’s memory to the Aurora High School Marching Band, 300 L Street, Aurora, Ne, 68818.
He was preceded in death by wife, Luann Sundberg; parents, Earl and Jean Sundberg.
He is survived by daughters, Keena Bauer (Chuck) and Katie Vaughn (Luke); grandchildren, Audrey and Mallorie; sisters and brother: Cindy Jacobsen (Mike), Rita Gribsby (Rick), Kent Sundberg (Barb), and Becky Sundberg; many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
