Sen. Friesen airs frustration with lack of progress

With the clock ticking on this year’s 60-day legislative session, Dist. 34 Sen. Curt Friesen told constituents Monday he is frustrated with the lack of progress on key issues, particularly property tax relief.
Speaking at a town hall meeting sponsored by the Aurora Development Corporation, Friesen reported that all of the bills related to property tax relief are stuck in committee, which he says could be giving momentum to those who want to force lawmakers’ hand by putting the issue to a vote in November through the ballot initiative process.
