Pamela E. (Olson) Clayton

Pamela E (Olson) Clayton, 64, of St. Joseph, Mo., passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Mosaic Life Care.
Pam was born Dec. 23, 1952 to the late Donald and Mary (Thompson)  Olson in Grand Island.
She was a 1971 graduate of Aurora High School and earned an Associate’s Degree from Grand Island Business School.
She was a member of PEO, Eastern Star and Beta Sigma Phi.
In her career she followed her passion of interior design, worked at The Colony House in St. Joseph and co-founded Cherry Hill Interiors in Aurora. Later she joined the marketing department at the Better Business Bureau where she served for 20 years.
In addition to her parents Ms. Clayton was preceded in death by a brother; Ben Olson, and grand-nephew; Carson Neville.
Pam began her 14 year partnership with David Liebsack in 2003, he survives her of the home. She is also survived by her son; Patrick Clayton of New York, NY, sister; Carol (Ken) Vincik, brothers; John (Deb) Olson, Tom (Betty) Olson, sister-in-law; Julie Olson and very dear neighbors who became as close as family Ryan and  Ann Koch and their children Elizabeth and Emerson who called her “Pamma.”
Family visitation will be held at 1 p.m, Monday, Oct. 30 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel followed by a memorial gathering at 2 p.m.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m, Tuesday, Oct. 31 at Phillips United Methodist Church, Phillips.
The family requests that those attending her visitation or services wear brightly colored attire.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to “Up with People” at, or to a charity of the donor’s choice in Pam’s memory.
