Communities in county early on may be lost, but not forgotten

While Hamilton County is now known for seven villages and towns, the countryside used to be dotted with around 30 other communities just over 125 years ago.
Some of these communities were platted and created into formal towns just like the ones we see today, and others may have been not much more than a post office or depot.
Yet, each one of these communities have their own history -- be it vast and plentiful or secluded and exclusive. The differences seen in each one is why Hamilton County is set up the way it is today.
