Bobby Young-Mentgen

Bobby Young-Mentgen, age 68, of Bradshaw, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017, at her home.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 7 at the Chapel of Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora.  Rev. Loren Cooper will officiate.   Inurnment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.  No Visitation.  Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com.
Bobby Gayle Young-Mentgen, the daughter of Robert Weldon and Donna Lee (Dodge) Puffinbarger was born in Lincoln, on February 13, 1949 and passed away in Bradshaw, on October 2, 2017, at the age of 68.
Bobby was very close to receiving her doctorate in Psychology.  Bobby graduated with Masters Degrees from Peru State College, University of Nebraska-Kearney and Doane College.  She was the consummate career student.
She wore many hats during her lifetime...  some of them being English Pub co-owner, manager of numerous restaurants and bars, astrologer, backup singer, and mother.  She adored her shiz-poo Vladimir and Yorkie Poo Jade and two beautiful cats.
Bobby worked in Lincoln at the Regional Center and then for the State of Nebraska for eight years, before moving to Bradshaw on February 3, 2013 to be closer to family.
Bobby loved studying the supernatural.  She enjoyed helping others develop spiritually through astrological teaching.  Bobby was an avid reader and enjoyed watching all kinds of crime shows.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister.
Those left to cherish her memory are her three children, Edd Saylor, Jr., Christina Fischer and Rana Young, all of Lincoln; two grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn (Allan) Roehrs of Bradshaw and Diane Street of Campbell, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
