Aurora softball district action

It took nearly 3-1/2 hours to complete thanks in part to a lenghty rain delay, but the Aurora softball team fell in its opening round game at the B-5 district tournament to Northwest, 3-1. The Lady Huskies had chances in most innings, but 13 runners stranded on the bags proved to be the achillies heel for Aurora. In the first loser's bracket game,

Aurora rallied after a slow start to defeat Lexington 12-10.

The Lady Huskies and Adams Central needed extra innings, but the Patriots outlasted Aurora 9-8 after 10 innings. The loss eliminates Aurora from the B-5 district tournament.
