Brainstorming aimed at ending childhood poverty

Developing strategies and partnerships to end childhood poverty was the focus of a brainstorming session in Grand Island last week hosted by the Heartland United Way, which serves Hamilton, Hall, Howard and Merrick counties.
Volunteers from throughout the area gathered to share their thoughts and ideas, all of which will help set the agenda for a Poverty Summit scheduled Nov. 3 in Grand Island.
