County’s valuation total drops by $167M

The valuation of property in Hamilton County has dropped for the first time in years due primarily to a 6 percent decline in irrigated ag land values and a $42 million reduction in the personal property values assessed on the Pacific Ethanol plants.
Hamilton County Assessor Pat Sandberg posted the 2017 valuation totals for all taxing subdivisions Aug. 16, noting a decrease of 5.24 percent to $3.036 billion. See print or e-edition for details.
