Public hearing on city’s 1st Street paving plan set for Sept. 12

Aurora residents will have a chance to weigh in on a proposed 1st Street paving plan next month as a project talked about for years moves toward a public hearing and a final yes or no decision.
City officials continue to take necessary planning steps in order to figure out the cost of the project, both to adjacent land owners and the city itself. No new cost estimates were provided at the Aug. 8 Aurora City Council meeting, though the proposal did create several discussion points on the agenda.
