Churches provide space for Hampton students

Deadline pressure to complete renovation work at Hampton Elementary School by fall prompted a transition plan which sent students to local churches for the last two weeks of the year.
Teachers began planning to move out of their rooms way back in December, boxing up materials on holiday breaks, evenings and weekends throughout the spring semester until moving day the last weekend in April. Makeshift classrooms were set up at St. Peters Lutheran Church and United Lutheran Church in a transition that teachers described as a bit hectic, but necessary.
