Study continues on ambulance options

A week after hosting an emotional public hearing that drew an overflow crowd to the district courtroom, county commissioners reported Monday that they continue to roll up their sleeves looking for ways to reduce costs for operating the county’s ambulance department.
Commissioners Becky Richter and Gregg Kremer, both liaisons to the county-run ambulance service, said they are learning that EMS services in other communities similar in size are run differently, thus they hope to apply any helpful lessons here.
