County board to explore privatizing ambulance service

A public hearing has been set for Aug. 15 to discuss the possible privatization of the Hamilton County Ambulance department.
“This is what Becky (Richter) and I have been looking at as far as how we operate our ambulance system here in Hamilton County,” said commissioner and ambulance liaison Gregg Kremer. “One thing we have been looking at is the possibility of privatization and letting a private company own and operate our ambulance system here.”
