Honken pleads not guilty in murder-for-hire case

An Aurora man charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit first degree murder pleaded not guilty in district court Friday and now awaits a jury trial scheduled for November.
Rob Honken appeared in orange, prison-issue coveralls and showed no emotion as Rachel Daugherty, District 5 Hamilton County district judge, explained the options facing the suspect accused in a murder-for-hire case. Given the options of guilty, not guilty or no contest, Honken, through his attorney, Charles Brewster, informed the judge of his desire to plead not guilty on both counts.
