Hampton school invites public input

Hampton school officials are seeking public input Monday on a proposal to address code violations and safety issues with an aging elementary school building.
Having reviewed various options with a community-based advisory group for the past several months, the Hampton Public School Board is now looking for broader community feedback, hoping to answer questions before deciding how to proceed. The public is invited to a community meeting at the high school gymnasium Monday at 7 p.m.
“We started this process back in October,” noted Hampton Supt. Holly Herzberg. “We have been gathering information for a long time and felt like we got good, ground-level feedback from our advisory committee. Now we’re looking for a broader group and that’s why we are bringing the entire community in prior to the board making any type of decision.”
