Rosalie Chaney, age 74, of Giltner, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at her home.
 Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, January 29 at the United Methodist Church in Giltner.  Rev. Mahlon Richardson will officiate.  Interment will be in the Giltner Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the United Methodist Church in Giltner.  Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora is in charge of arrangements.  Rosalie Ann Chaney, the daughter of Roy Douglas and Dorothy Marie (Ruebsamen) Chaney, was born in Pemberville, Ohio on June 25, 1941 and passed away in Giltner, on January 26, 2016, at the age of 74.
 She grew up in Hall County on a farm.  Rosalie graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1958.  For a few years Rosalie worked as a switchboard operator in Giltner.
 Rosalie worked at the Hamilton Manor in Aurora for 33 years as a nurse’s aide.
 Rosalie was a member of the Giltner United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and volunteering at the Giltner Library.  Rosalie loved sharing her collection of Disney movies with her nieces and nephews.
 She was preceded in death by her father.
 Those left to cherish her memory are her mother Dorothy Chaney of Aurora; brother, Edwin (Linda) Chaney of Giltner and sister, Beverly Chaney of Omaha; nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
