Ingred Holmberg Hedlund

Ingred Holmberg Hedlund, 95, died Jan. 23, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colo. She was born in Loup City to Einar and Ida Holmberg on May 28, 1919. The family farmed in Loup City and Ceresco areas prior to moving to Hamilton County in 1932.
Ingred graduated from Phillips High School in 1936 and later attended the Evangelical Free Church College in Chicago. She married Rev. John Hedlund at the Monroe EFC in 1940. They served as pastor of several Evangelical Free Churches in the midwest during 62 years of ministry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. John Hedlund in 2002, parents, sisters Marian, Margit (Art) Wagner and Kathryn, brothers Norman, Gerald, and Marvin.
Ingred is survived by brother Donald (Marilyn) Holmberg of Stromsburg, sisters-in-law, Patricia Holmberg, Aurora; Doris Wolters, Tucson, Ariz.; daughters, Madre (Jim) McCormick of Arlington Heights, Ill., and Lois (Terry) McNabb of Zion, Ill., and son John Norman (Pam) Hedlund of Mesa, Ariz. and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at the Colorado Springs Evangelical Free Church on Feb. 6. Burial will be on a later date at the Monroe EFC cemetery.
