Ruth A. Crupe - February 23, 2014

Ruth A. Crupe passed away on Feb. 23, 2014 in Pleasant Hill, Calif. at the age of 94.  She was the wife of the late Robert I. Crupe, deceased May 19, 1986.
She was born to Glen and Fay Chapman in Aurora, Nebr. on Oct. 7, 1919.  She graduated from University of Nebraska-Lincoln and was a member of the Alpha Phi International Sorority.  Later, she attended and obtained a Graduate Degree from Prince School of Retailing, Simmons College in Boston, MA.  She worked at the Military Service Clubs as a Recreational Specialist.  She was a lifetime member of the University of Nebraska Alumni Association and a longtime member of the Orinda-Moraga Republican Women, Federated and the P.E.O. Sisterhood.  She leaves behind her loving nephew and nieces: David Young of Burney Falls, Calif., Sarah Shaeffer of Santa Ana, Calif., Pamela Young of Portland, Ore., Penelope Burton of Oregon City, Ore., Diane Dearborn of Portland, Ore. and grand-nephews and grand-nieces.  Her final resting place will be at the San Francisco National Cemetery, beside her beloved husband Robert.
