James Edward Kielblock - February 08, 2014

James Edward Kielblock, age 76, of Purdy, Mo., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at the Aurora Nursing Center in Aurora, Mo. Jim, son of Fred and Caroline (Bergmeier) Kielblock, was born on Jan. 17, 1938, in Jackson, Minn. On Dec. 14, 1968, he was united in marriage to Nancy Leishman in Red Cloud, Nebr. Jim owned and operated the Town and Country Body Shop in Giltner, Nebr., until retiring and moving to Purdy in 1999. He was baptized on May 1, 1938, in Jackson, Minn., and he was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Purdy. Jim enjoyed playing the steel guitar and was a member of the Night Drifters band for twenty-three years. He was also an avid fan of Open Wheel Sprint Car Racing. Jim loved taking things apart to see how they worked, making his own new inventions, and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of forty-five years, Nancy Kielblock, of Purdy; one daughter, Debbie Brambila and her husband Dale, of Lincoln, Nebr.; one granddaughter, Sarah Valadez and her husband Jose, of Fort Worth, Texas; two great-granddaughters, Sophia and Emma Valadez; one sister, Carole Berkness and her husband Ronnie, of Jackson, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Gordon, Gene, and Freddie, and one sister, Norma Kielblock.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2014, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Purdy, with Pastor Philip Wolf officiating.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Mo.
