Lois Wilson - February 02, 2014Lois Wilson, age 72, of Aurora, passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at Memorial Community Care.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 6 at the United Methodist Church in Aurora. Rev. Mary Scott will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Lois Elaine Wilson, the daughter of Walter E. and Johanna (Seibel) Scull, was born in Yakima, Wash. on Nov. 25, 1941 and passed away in Aurora, Nebr. on Feb. 2, 2014, at the age of 72.
They lived in Wapato, Wash. Lois attended school at Parker, Wash. until 6th grade and then the family moved to Prosser, Wash. She graduated from Prosser High School in 1959. Lois entered the U.S. Navy in 1960. Her new recruit training was at Bainbridge, Maryland. She graduated from Hospital Corps School in Great Lakes, Ill. and was transferred to Quantico, Va. at the Naval Hospital.
On Dec. 28, 1961, she married Ronald L. Wilson at Quantico, Va. After being transferred from coast to coast and raising their children, Ronald and Lois settled at their present home in Aurora, when Ronald retired from the Navy.
Lois enjoyed her family and grandchildren, camping, gardening and collecting Barbie dolls. She also loved sewing and quilting for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed her grandchildren very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ronald L. of Aurora; daughter, Jennifer (Doyle) Lemkau of Grand Island; three sons, Ron (Rhonda) Wilson of Grand Island, Jeffrey L. Wilson of Aurora and Rodney L. (Kris) Wilson of Aurora; 5 grandchildren, Tegan Lemkau, Trent and Derek Wilson, and Katelyn and A.J. (Adam) Wilson; two brothers, George E. Scull of Sunnyside, Wash. and Richard D. Scull of Burbank, Wash.; four sisters, Priscilla Lucht of Bonnie Lake, Wash., Pauline Ergeson of Selah, Wash., Kathleen (Ken) Carver of Prosser, Wash. and Pamela (Larry) Pence of Benton City, Wash. and many nieces and nephews.
