Ronald Poush - January 14, 2014

Ronald Poush, age 66, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 25th at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Inurnment will be at Hampton United Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from

Ronald Lee Poush, the son of Lester and Doris (Accola) Poush, was born in Greeley, Colorado on June 25, 1947 and passed away at home on January 14, 2014, at the age of 66.

He grew up in New Raymer, Colorado until his sophomore year in high school. The family moved to Torrance, California and graduated from West Torrance High School. Ron returned to New Raymer before being drafted into the U.S. Army from 1968-1970, where he received two accommodation medals, two Bronze Stars and an Oakleaf Cluster. After being discharged, Ron returned to finish his college at Colorado State University at Fort Collins.

Ron was married to Lynda Dry on September 11, 1982 in Greeley, Colorado. Ron was employed as a salesman for Birko Corporation for 34 years, retiring in 2013.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Poush; maternal grandparents, Granny & Poom Accola and paternal grandparents, Ethel & Lester S. Poush.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lynda Poush of Hampton; three daughters, Crystal (Shawn) Poush of Grand Island, Nicole (John) Bish of Aurora and Shonay Shaw of Michigan; 9 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; mother, Doris Poush of Greeley, Colorado and two brothers, Jim (Pam) Poush of Greeley, Colorado and Dean (Paula) Poush of California.

Ron enjoyed golfing, watching sports and was a die hard Broncos fan. TOUCHDOWN DENVER!
