Vivian Shirley Aspegren - January 14, 2014

Former Eldorado resident, Vivian Shirley (Leonard) Aspegren, 103, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 14, 2014.
Services will be held at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home in Harvard, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2014. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery, Harvard, NE. Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home in Harvard is in charge of the arrangements.
Vivian was born on November 15, 1910, to William and Stella Leonard in Eldorado, Nebraska. She graduated from Harvard High School in 1928. She also attended York College. She taught school for a few years before she was married. She married Leland C. Aspegren on March 17, 1935. They lived on a farm for a few years and then Leland managed the Farmers Co-op Oil Company in Eldorado for 35 years. She was the bookkeeper during this time.
They retired in 1974 and moved to Bella Vista, AR, where they lived for 18 years. They later moved to the Baptist Retirement Center in Oklahoma City.
Vivian was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. She was also a member of the Gideon’s International Auxiliary for over 60 years.
Survivors are: three daughters, Connie Cady and husband, Ben, of Orlando, FL; Kay Cherry, of Alameda, CA; Cheri Ediger and husband, Warren, of La Habra, CA; one son, Larry and wife, Eda K, of Oklahoma City, OK; one brother, Kenneth Leonard of Antioch, CA; 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
