Ronalda Snell - October 11, 2013

Ronalda Jean Snell, age 77, of Sutton died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Sutton Community Home in Sutton.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at the Federated Church in Sutton with the Rev. Harry Cross officiating. Visitation was from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Sutton Memorial Chapel, Sutton. Interment is in the Saronville Lutheran Cemetery in Saronville. Ronalda Jean Snell was born April 5, 1936, in Harvard to Ronald and Marian (Nelson) Anderson. She received her education in Kearney and Hastings, where she obtained her certificate to teach. On Feb. 4, 1956, she married Ernie Snell in Saronville. She was employed as a teacher at rural schools near Elderado and Inland. Ronalda taught classes at St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island for five years for the Optifast Program.
Ronalda enjoyed playing bridge, watching Nebraska sports and spending time with family and friends.
She was a member of the Federated Church in Sutton, Harvard Chapter L, P.E.O., 3 bridge groups and a bridge marathon group.
She is survived by her husband, Ernie Snell of Sutton; daughters, Cindy and husband, Vernon, of Aurora and Julie Zimmerman of Minden; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Marian Anderson; sister, MaryLou Mahoney; brother, Ronald Anderson, Jr.; and granddaughter, Kaysie Andrews.
