Jim LeSuer - August 11, 2013

James Lloyd “Jim” LeSuer, 59, of Hordville, died on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Solt Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Ford Shenk officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burialwill be in the Arborville Cemetery near Polk. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.soltfh.com. Jim was born in Fullerton to Wilbur Lloyd “Bill” and Shirley Ilene (Scott) LeSuer on April 1, 1954. His early years were spent in Crawford and in his early elementary years the family moved to the Clarks, Hordville and Polk areas and Jim graduated from Hordville High School in 1971. Jim continued to live in Hordville and learned the construction trade while working with Gene Fowler. He worked for Bonnavilla Home in Aurora and for 25 years he worked at Atlantic Homes in Central City and then Champion Homes in York. Recently he had worked at Stone Crest Homes and Costaca Homes both in Central City and had done some independent carpentry work. In the spring of 2013, Jim was forced to quit working due to his health.
Jim was baptized in the First Baptist Church in Hordville and currently was attending Monroe Evangelical Free Church. He enjoyed his motorcycle, fishing and camping, attending University of Nebraska at Kearney football games, and loved going to rock concerts.
Survivors include his mother, Shirley LeSuer of Hordville; his sister, Sharon and Ron Shoup of Central City; two nephews, Lonnie and Lisa Shoup and their sons Conner and Tyler all of Stromsburg and Shawn Shoup of Lincoln; special aunt and uncle, Bob and Doris Cermak of Shelby; special cousins, Shelia Cermak of Osceola and Darcie and Dickey Clarke of Oklahoma City, and several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many good friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Bill LeSuer, in 2008.
