Pete L. Wall - June 26, 2013

Pete L. Wall, 87, of Henderson, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Henderson.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 1, at the Mennonite Brethren Church in Henderson with the Rev. Al Magnuson officiating. Burial will be in the Mennonite Brethren Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Metz Mortuary, Henderson. The family will greet friends Sunday evening from 7 to 8:30.
Memorials may be directed to Grace Children’s Home in Henderson, Omaha Children’s Home or the M.B. Church.

He was born May 20, 1926, to Bernhard B. and Elizabeth (Quiring) Wall at the family’s homestead in Hamilton County near Henderson. He attended country school at District #38 in Hamilton County and also Henderson High School.
After high school he started farming with his dad and brother Ben and, on Jan. 24, 1951, he married Esther Marie Rempel (Friesen) at Henderson. To this union were born three children, Shirley Mae, Clyde Lee and Keith Roy.
Pete accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in March of 1942 and was baptized by Rev. David Hoogie. He joined the Mennonite Brethren Church in June of 1942. He loved to sing and sang in the church choir and various small groups. He also sang in a men’s group that did broadcasts on the York radio station.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Esther Marie of Henderson; daughter Shirley (Dennis) Kliewer of Bradshaw; sons Clyde (Debra) Wall of Lincoln and Keith (Linda) Wall of Newton, N.J.; four grandchildren, Tamara (Ryan) Wiens of rural Hampton, Timothy Kliewer of Omaha and twins, Kyle and Katelyn Wall of Newton, N.J.; and great-grandchildren Mason and Mia Wiens.
Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters, one brother Ben and his wife Alma.
