Arline Slocum - June 07, 2013

Arline Slocum, 82, of Kearney, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 10, at the Litchfield Cemetery. Rev. Shawn Kitzing will officiate. Rasmussen Funeral Home in Ravenna is in charge of arrangements
Arline Slocum was born Oct. 10, 1930, in Dawson County to Hippolite and Lucille (Johnson) LeDroit. She graduated from Sumner High School.
She married Marvin Slocum on July 15, 1961. They made their home in the Broken Bow, then Litchfield areas. She owned and operated Marv’s Bar in Litchfield and a daycare center in Kearney.
She enjoyed fishing and her family.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Diane Hoffman of Loup City and Greg and Pam Hoffman of Ravenna; daughter and son-in-law, Kevin and Brenda Malsbury of Aurora, 10 grandchildren and a brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Elaine Kratzer of Litchfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, five sons and sister, Pauline.
