Jerry Scherff - June 04, 2013

Jerry Scherff, 71, of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at the Hamilton Manor.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, in the chapel of Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Pastor Barb Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com.
Jerry Steven Scherff, son of Clifford and Geneva (Williams) Scherff, was born in Caulfield, Mo. on May 15, 1942.
The family moved from Missouri in 1946 to a farm near Stockham, when Jerry was 4. Jerry attended Badger Country School and Aurora High School. Early on Jerry was a farmer. In the 1980s he moved to Aurora and went to work for Noxious Weed Control Department of Hamilton County.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his two brothers, Lee (Carole) Scherff of St. John, Wash. and Roy Scherff of Houston, Texas; an uncle, Dwight ‘Whitey’ (Susie) Williams of Mountain View, Mo.; two aunts, Eutha (Wayne) Taylor of West Plains, Mo. and Betty Langston of Newberg, Ore.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
