Richard Dvorak, Sr. - May 26, 2013Richard A. Dvorak, Sr., 57, of Loup City, died Sunday, May 26, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday May 31, in the Higby-McQuiston chapel in Aurora. Burial will be in Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary.

Richard A. Dvorak, Sr., son of Edwin D. and Marian Darlene (Bennett) Dvorak, was born at Seward on Sept. 26, 1955.
Richard grew up in Nebraska. The family moved to California in the late 1950s and returned back to Nebraska in the early 1960s, living in Clay Center where Rick attended school through the 5th grade. The family moved to Marquette in 1971, where he continued his schooling. Over the years, Rick lived in Central City and Grand Island.
Rick married Skeeter M. Faubion on July 17, 1999, at Ashton. They moved to Loup City where Rick worked for Erickson Ford and then the Sherman County Department of Roads before his health prevented him from working.
Rick was an avid musician who played lead and bass guitar. He traveled with his own band. Rick also loved riding his Harley Davidson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and granddaughter, Samantha Dvorak.
Survivors include his wife, Skeeter Dvorak of Loup City; three children, Ricky Dvorak of Grand Island, Teresa Dvorak and friend Dustin of Grand Island and Megan Peterson of Columbus; two step-children, Justin (Carrie) Burmeister of Grand Island and Twyla (John) LeFever of Litchfield; 12 grandchildren; sister, Dareda (Kelly) Wolfe of York; two brothers, Randy Dvorak of Loup City and Terry (Ila) Dvorak of Grand Island; and several nieces and nephews.
