Randy Fowler - April 26, 2013Randy E. Fowler, 63, of Central City, formerly of Hordville, died Friday, April 26, 2013, at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 1, at 11 a.m. at Wagner Funeral Home in Central City with Rick Larson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 30, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Randy was born Nov. 23, 1949, in Central City, to Milburn E. and Iola C. (Bengston) Fowler. He grew up in Hordville and received his education there, graduating from Hordville High School in 1968.
He was united in marriage to Carla Jo Guilford on May 2, 1971, in Hordville at the Hordville Baptist Church. The couple lived in Hordville and Randy was a self-employed carpenter working various construction jobs. He retired due to his declining health around 2006.
Randy was a very good carpenter, and he enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was proud to be sober for 17 years.
Survivors include his two daughters, Misti (Jason) Morris of Blair and Mindi Fowler of Omaha; five grandchildren, Jaedyn, Kenna, Gavin, Camden, and Tessa Morris, of Blair; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rony and Rita Fowler of Hordville and Murray and Cheryl Fowler of Hordville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Marla and Trevor Hansen of York, Rita Fowler of Omaha, and Becky and Keith Green of Rockwell City, Iowa; mother of his children, Carla Fowler of Hordville; other family, Kevin and Rhonda Guilford of Clarks, KoAnn and Allen Nelson of Central City and Myla Thompson of Grand Island; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
