Frances Stuchlik - January 30, 2013

Frances Marie Stuchlik, 93, of Omaha, formerly of Aurora, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Omaha.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in York. Private family interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Sunday at Metz Mortuary in York. The family will greet friends Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 4 p.m.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.metzmortuary.com. Metz Mortuary, York, is handling arrangements.
She was born Oct. 4, 1919, at Linwood to Antone and Frances Kriz. Frances was united in marriage to John A. Stuchlik on Feb, 17, 1941 at Lincoln. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Altar Society in Aurora.
Frances was an avid horticulturist. Raising a variety of African Violets was a favorite hobby. She enjoyed playing bridge, cooking, gardening, photography, and traveling with her husband in their RV. She loved spending time at their cabin at Twin Lakes. Her family was her greatest joy. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Survivors include three daughters, Carole (Bob) Ballard of Ashville, N.C., Cathi (Michael) Murphy of York and Jackie (Michael) McMullen of Omaha; one son, John (Sherrie) Stuchlik of Kearney. Frances also leaves behind nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, two brothers and three sisters.
