Steve Williams - May 22, 2009

Steve Williams, age 60, of Giltner, died Friday, May 22, 2009 at Hamilton Manor in Aurora.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 27th at the Giltner United Methodist Church. Rev. Marta Wheeler will officiate. The family requests casual attire for the funeral services.
The son of Delwyn and Betty (Jackson) Cline, Steve was born in Inavale, Neb., on Dec. 31, 1948 and died in Aurora, Neb., on May 22, 2009, at the age of 60.
He grew up in Papillion and attended Papillion High School through the 11th grade. Following high school he worked construction in the Omaha area.
Steve was united in marriage to Deb Gildersleeve on July 4, 1989 at Giltner. Following their marriage Steve worked as a truck driver. He then owned and operated the Giltner Tavern. Steve went back to trucking until he became disabled.
Steve was a rodeo fan and participated in many rodeos. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, racing stock cars in his younger years and was a NASCAR fan. Steve was also an avid Nebraska football fan. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his biological father, Jack Williams, his dad, Delwyn Cline, step-father, Harvey Eichman, and sister, Angie Luther.
He is survived by his wife Deb of Giltner; children, David Williams of Omaha, Dan (Stacey) Williams of Hastings, Jeremy (Emily) Gildersleeve of Grand Island and Amy Gildersleeve and fiance’ Jim Lesonik of Giltner; grandchildren, Alex, Nathan and Zachary Williams, Britny and Skyler Williams, Wyatt and Makenna Gildersleeve, Brandon Gildersleeve and Mason Lesonik; mother, Betty Eichman of Grand Island; brothers Kevin (Kim) Cline of Pleasant Dale and Garry (Sue) Williams of Joplin, Missouri and other family members and friends.
