Willie Wieser - January 18, 2013Wildrena "Willie" Wieser, 87, of Aurora, was called to her eternal home on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013. Sixty-eight years ago to the day, Willie was united in marriage to Norbert ‘Nub’ Wieser in Humphrey.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 22 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Rev. Dennis Hunt will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Grand Island. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora, with the Rosary at 7 p.m.

Wildrena ‘Willie’ Jessie Wieser, daughter of Milton and Rosemund Helms, was born on March 5, 1925, in the Flint Hills of Kansas.
Willie grew up in the states of Texas, Iowa and California before moving back to Columbus where she met and married her husband, Norbert Wieser, on Jan. 18, 1945. The couple lived in Columbus, Madison and Grand Island before finally moving to Aurora in 1976, where she worked at Redman Shoe and then later owned and operated the Coin-Op Laundromat until she retired.
Willie was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and volunteered for the Hospital Auxiliary.
Wildrena was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert; one son, Jim; one grandson, Jay; two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her son, Jon (Eileen) Gergen of Plano, Texas; three daughters, Janet (Dan) Dymek of Grand Island, Marti Bankson and Tom Gallentine of Aurora and Mary (Lee) Cuevas of Centennial, Colo.; two sisters, Theany McAfee of Cheyenne, Wyo. and Edith O’Kaeefe of Trenton, North Jersey; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
