Harold Klawonn - May 13, 2009

Harold Klawonn, 97, of Aurora, formerly of Bradshaw, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at Hamilton Manor.
Funeral services were Saturday, May 16 at the Zion Lutheran Church northeast of Hampton. Rev. Loren Cooper officiated. Burial was in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

Harold Ervin Klawonn, son of Paul and Alma (Salchow) Klawonn, was born in Hampton on July 31, 1911.
He was raised in Hampton community and attended Zion Lutheran School. He worked on the family farm following school.
He married Malinda Rose Bjorkman on May 26, 1942 at Burton, Kan. He farmed and was involved with agriculture his entire life in the Hampton/Bradshaw communities. His wife died on April 24, 2007.
He was a lifelong member of the Zion Lutheran Church northeast of Hampton, serving in many capacities over the years.
Survivors include one son, Dennis (Betty) Klawonn of Lincoln; one daughter, Linda (David) DeRosear of Hastings; brother, Willard (Wanda) Klawonn of Hampton; sisters, Dora McHenry and Elva Wall both of Aurora; grandchildren, Brent (Lisa) Underwood of Hastings, Tracy (Cullen) West of Lincoln, Scott (Tina) Underwood of Omaha, Kelly Klawonn of Chicago, Ill. and Angie (Josh) Osborn of Axtell; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife; a sister, Melvina Hilligas, and one brother, Art Klawonn.
