Juliette Margaret was born on July 7, 1929, at the family home near Naper, Neb., to Jacob H. and Kathrina (Boes) Berg. Juliette grew up in Naper and graduated from Naper High School in 1946. On Nov. 15, 1947, Juliette Berg and Delbert Dean Broekemeier were united in marriage at Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk. They spent the early years of their marriage in Norfolk where Juliette worked at Norfolk State Hospital.
In 1950, they returned to Naper where they farmed and Juliette was a homemaker. In 1961, they came to Central City. Juliette worked with Delbert on the farm and she babysat, sold Avon, and was a bus driver and cook for Central City Public Schools; retiring in 1994.
Delbert died on Sept. 13, 2002. Juliette moved into Central City in 2007 and to Long Term Care in October, 2012.
