Gilbert H Roehrs, 85, of Lincoln, died Saturday, May 16, 2009).
He was born July 21,1923 in Hampton to August and Ida (Opfer) Roehrs. He was employed at Gooch Mills for 22 years. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, a World War II Army veteran, member of the D.A.V., American Legion and V.F.W.
Survivors include his wife, Doris, Lincoln; two daughters, Ruth (Terry) Ebke, Urbandale, Iowa and Donna (Ed) Sessions, Lincoln; two sons, Donald (Sherry) Roehrs, North Platte and Douglas (Rita) Roehrs, Cozad; daughter-in-law, Julie Roehrs, Lincoln; sisters and brothers-in-law, Norma and Bill Gallant of Tucson, Ariz., Elva Wall of Tucson, Ariz.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Orville Roehrs of Hampton, Raymond and Norma Roehrs of Osceola, Ardean and Thelma Roehrs, Holdrege; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by parents; son, Kelvin; sisters, Erma Driewer and Verla Rathjie.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 20, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2788 Franklin St., Lincoln. Pastor Lonnie Jacobson will officiate. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Roper and Sons Mortuary, with family greeting from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour before services at the church on Wednesday.
