Diana Marie Kelly, 48, of Osceola, formerly of Central City and York, died at Annie Jeffrey Memorial Hospital in Osceola on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012.
Memorial services will be Thursday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Solt Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Michael Eickhoff officiating. A time of sharing will be Wednesday, Dec. 12t, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Burke Cemetery near Central City.

Diana was born in Salt Lake City to Leslie Earl and Mary (Davis) Blackwell. Her family lived in Utah, Montana, North Dakota and Nebraska, where Diana graduated from Central City High School in 1983. After graduation, Diana lived in York and worked at a Chinese Restaurant, Gold Leaf, Bonnavilla in Bradshaw, and Even Temp in Waco. On June 18, 1999, Diana was united in marriage to Ronald L. “Ron” Kelly. They moved to Osceola in 2005. In 2005, Diana began working for Animal Control in Columbus and Osceola. She was passionate about her work and completed her training to become a certified animal control officer.
Diana was a member of the National Animal Control Association, she enjoyed photography, fishing and camping, and collecting many things including dragons, skunks, snow globes and books. Diana helped with the county 4-H Dog Shows and went to schools to talk about her work as an animal control officer. Her greatest love was for her family.
Survivors include her husband, Ron of Osceola; her daughter, Raechel Lynn Kelly of Osceola; her mother, Mary Blackwell of Osceola; three brothers, Mike Blackwell of Minneapolis, Minn., Danny (Susan) Blackwell of Lincoln and Tony Blackwell of Osceola; and one sister, Melody Blackwell and John McDonald of Central City.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Earl Blackwell; and her grandparents, Earl and Louise Blackwell and Jay and Addie Davis.
