E. May Lindquist - December 01, 2012E. May (Pat) Lindquist, 102, of Brookville, Kan., died Saturday, Dec 1, 2012.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Ell-Saline High School gymnasium, Brookville, Kan. Inurnment will be private in the Brookville Cemetery. Viewing will be prior to the service in the gymnasium from 9 to 10 a.m.
Memorials are directed to the Brookville United Methodist Church. Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is in charge.
She was born Sept. 10, 1910, in Ellsworth, Kan., the daughter of Elmer and Gertrude (Parker) Lessig. Pat was a farm homemaker. She was a school teacher for over 50 years in Ellsworth and Saline Counties.
She is member of the Kansas Teacher’s Hall of Fame and the National Teacher’s Hall of Fame. She was a 4-H Leader, member of Fidelity Rebekah Lodge, Order Of The Eastern Star and the Brookville United Methodist Church.
She was preceded by her husband Carl E Lindquist.
Survivors include two sons, Jon (Kaye) of Brookville and James (Kay) of Giltner; one daughter, Jodi Pielsticker (Bob) of Tulsa, Okla.; one cousin, Mona Cunningham of Salina, Kan.; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
