Lynn Beyer - November 18, 2012

Lynn Chester Beyer, 67, of Aurora, died at his home with his family at his side on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 21 at St. John Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Rev. Brian Krause will officiate.

Lynn Chester Beyer, son of Chester and Dorothy (DeMaranville) Beyer, was born in Aurora on April 10, 1945.
Lynn grew to manhood in the rural Marquette area, attending a rural school before going to Aurora Public School. After his graduation from Aurora High School, he attended Milford Technical School in Milford, graduating from there with his auto mechanics certification.
Lynn worked for auto shops in Aurora and owned his own service station for a time. He then went to work for New Holland in Grand Island. He worked there for nearly 25 years before becoming disabled.
Lynn married Sharon Nerly Nealon on Oct. 6, 1990 in Kennard. They lived in Grand Island before moving to Apache Junction, Ariz. They came back to Nebraska in 2006 to care for his mother and remained here.
Lynn enjoyed dancing, drag racing, amateur radios, RV-ing and working on cars and tractors. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Kronborg, JCs, REACT, Amateur Radio Association, and a life member of Good Sam’s Camping Club.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; two sons, Cheston Beyer of Phoenix, Ariz. and Jeremy Beyer of Omaha; one daughter, Lorinda Westover of Texas; stepson, Gordon (Theresa) Nealon of Farwell; three stepdaughters, Hope (Dean) Trahan of Faribault, Minn., Cheryl (Rex) Wilson of Oakley, Kan. and Barbara Wheeler of Lewellen; nine grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Clark Beyer of Hastings, Philip (Connie) Beyer of Genoa and Chris (Sheryl) Kester Beyer of Aurora; brother-in-law, Joe (Mary) Nerly of Des Moines, Iowa and sister-in-law, Marie Eynetich of Doniphan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Dorothy Beyer; mother and father-in-law, Fred and Mable Nerly; stepson, William (Bill) Nealon; two step-grandson, Cole Nealon and Cody Wilson; step-great-grandson, John Delatour; two sisters-in-law and their spouses, Carol (Paul) Starkey, Marjorie (Clinton) Peterson and one brother-in-law, John Eynetich.
