Vincent Caster - September 30, 2012Vincent William Caster, 73, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kan., surrounded by his family.
Cremation has taken place and a family memorial service will be held at Evergreen Recreation Center in Wichita on Nov. 3, at 2 p.m.
Vincent was born on Aug. 15, 1939 in Oberlin, Kan. to Myron and Anneta(Gilbert) Caster. Vincent graduated from Decater County High School in Oberlin, Kan. in 1957. He attended the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colo.
He married Shirley Budnick in Hampton on July 14,1963. Vincent and Shirley had one daughter, Denise. He married Joann Johnson in Craig, Colo. on Dec. 21, 1973. Vincent and Joann had two children, Nancy and Cecil. Vincent worked as a carpenter. He was a member of Lions Club, NRA and Boy Scouts, serving as a leader. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, reading, photography and geocaching.
Vincent is survived by his wife Joann of Fall River, Kan.; his daughter Denise Eickbush and her fiancé Joseph Varrientos of Wichita, Kan.; his daughter Nancy Nobles and her husband Colby of Fall River, Kan.; his son Cecil and his wife Brandi of Olympia, Wash. He is also survived by six grandchildren. His surviving siblings include Alva (Rose) Caster of Vinton, La., Berdeen Lawrance of Fredonia, Kan., Dr. Dallas (Ellen) Caster of Auburn, Kan., Lois Jensen-Bare (Larry) of Mitchell, Donna (Wally) Driewer of Hampton, and Linda Caster-Senff (David) of Hampton; sister-in-law, Lois Caster of Hayden, Colo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Anneta Caster; two sisters Ina Lowe and Lola King, their husbands and their eight children; two brothers, Keith Caster and Dale Caster; brother-in-laws Garry Jensen and Roy Lawrence; and nephews Eric Caster and Michael Senff.
