Andrew Maynard Johnson, 91, of Aurora, died on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 in Aurora.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at the Aurora Cemetery. Higby-McQuiston Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Andrew Maynard Johnson, son of Albert and Emma (Ekburg) Johnson, was born on a farm near Hordville in 1921.
Maynard graduated from Hordville High School. He served in U.S. Army during World War II as a radio operator in the China/Burma/India theatre. Maynard was a rural letter carrier in the Hordville-Hampton area for 38 years.
Maynard married Eleanora Gorgen on June 7, 1953 at Central City. Eleanora died on Jan. 22, 2012.
Maynard was a 64 year member of the Lone Tree Lodge #36, AF & AM.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eleanora; two brothers, Rueben and Morris Johnson; and sister, Ellen Benson.
Survivors include his three sons and two daughters-in-law, Lyndon (Shelli) Johnson of Topeka, Kan., Lyle (Rosalinda) Johnson of Lincoln and Dale Johnson of Anaheim, Calif.; four grandchildren, Jacob, William, Dylan and Hannah; sisters-in-law, June Johnson of Aurora and Jeri Roshone of Valentine.
