Mark Harris, 48, of Aurora died Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service was held Saturday, May 9 at Assembly of God Church. Rev. James Garfield officiated. Inurnment was in the Aurora Cemetery.

Mark Allen Harris, son of George and Ruth (Bahn) Harris, was born at Grand Island on Aug. 18, 1960.
He graduated from Marquette High School in 1978. He worked at Wortman’s during high school and after. He worked at Aurora Meat Block for over 12 years.
On Feb. 24, 2008, he was united in marriage to Anita Stringham.
He enjoyed playing golf and had organized last year’s A’ROR’N Days golf tournament. He was a past member of the Aurora Jaycees.
Survivors include his wife, Anita of Aurora; step-children, Jessica Anderson of Phillips, Lisa Stringham and Melanie Stringham of Aurora and Gabriel McLamb of Grand Island; seven step-grandchildren; brother, Dana Harris of St. Libory; two sisters, Barb (Dan) Pinkelman of Aurora and Kim Harris of Enid, Okla.; father, George Harris of St. Libory; step-grandfather, Lewis Coleman of Lewiston, Idaho; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Katy Harris; mother, Ruth Harris (2005); brother, Gordon Harris; grandfathers, Ivan Harris and Rolland Bahn; grandmothers, Lelia Mierau and Lulu Harris; step-grandfather, Herman Mierau; and step-grandmother, Maelee Mertsching.
