Nadine Dunbar - August 05, 2012

Nadine Dunbar, 87, of Aurora, formerly of Lincoln, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at Memorial Community Care.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Evangelical Covenant Church in Aurora. Rev. Karl Larson will officiate. Burial will be in the Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery at 3 p.m. in Lincoln. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. until service time at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Aurora.

Nadine Alice Dunbar was born on Aug. 18, 1924, in Lincoln. She was the third child of Joseph and Nettie (Bratt) Breezley.
Nadine married Robert Keith Dunbar on Jan. 25, 1947. Robert died in June 1970. Nadine worked at Sears, Elgin Manufacturing, Gold’s/Brandies, and A.C. Nielson of Lincoln from which she retired in August 1984.
Nadine enjoyed traveling, especially visiting her sister and brother and their families in California, and competition ballroom dancing. She was a lifelong resident of Lincoln until October of 2005 when she moved to her new home at Memorial Community Care in Aurora. There she enjoyed cards, bingo, beading, and watching Nebraska football.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; daughter, Gloria Zuelow; brother, Don Beezley and sisters, Margie Winter and Marie Gildner.
She is survived by her two daughters, Gayle (Mick) Eacker of Lincoln and Patty (Syd) Widga of Aurora; sister, Phyllis Michael of Laguna Woods, California; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
