Janice McIntyre - June 04, 2012

Janice K. (Kuehner) McIntyre, 66, of Central City, died Monday, June 4, 2012 at the Central City Care Center. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Thursday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with Reverend Ronald Kuehner officiating. Burial will be in the Phillips Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Phillips Cemetery.
Janice was born on December 6, 1945 in Grand Island to Ernest and Marie (Johnson) Kuehner. She attended District 32 School in Hamilton County and graduated from Phillips High School in 1964. In 1969 she graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a degree in Home Economics and began teaching at Seedling Mile School in Grand Island.
She was united in marriage to Dr. L. Jay McIntyre in March of 1972 at Trinity United Methodist Church. The couple made their home in Wolbach and had two children, Heather Marie and Trevor Jay. After the marriage ended Janice lived in Grand Island and other cities until she moved to the Central City Care Center in 2005.
Janice was a past member of the United Methodist Church in Phillips and Wolbach. She enjoyed playing the piano, especially by ear.
Survivors of the immediate family include a daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Bill Woodward of Lane, KS, a son and daughter-in-law, Trevor and Holly McIntyre of Lee’s Summit, MO and two granddaughters, Lynden and Myla Woodward both of Lane, KS.
She is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leon and Charlene Collins of Grand Island and Ronald and Elinor Kuehner of Blue Hill; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Cheryl Kuehner of Albion and Karen and Mark Sullivan of Doniphan.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents.
