Bob Clark - May 28, 2012

Bob Clark, 81, of Aurora, died Monday, May 28, 2012, at the Hamilton Manor.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, May 31, at the Presbyterian U.C.C. in Aurora. Pastor Suzanne Harland will officiate. Inurnment will be in the L’eau Qui Court Cemetery in Niobrara at a later date.

Bob Clark, son of Martin and Alice (Moser) Clark, was born at Kansas City, Mo. on March 2, 1931.
Bob graduated from Niobrara High School in 1949. He then went on to attend Yankton College.
Bob was united in marriage to Shirley Freeman in March of 1951. Bob worked several years before joining the State Patrol stationed at Seward in 1955. In 1960, Bob went to work as an adjuster for Union Insurance in Lincoln. They moved to Holdrege in 1962, when Bob was transferred to be district manager for Union Insurance. In 1970, they moved to Aurora when Bob purchased the insurance agency from John Stuchlik. Later on he purchased the Rueben Johnson Insurance Agency and formed the Clark/Leach Insurance Agency. Bob sold the agency in 1991, when he retired. Bob and Shirley wintered in Lake Havasu, Ariz. for 20 years.
Bob was a 59-year member of Aurora Masonic Lodge #68. He was also a member of the Tahama Shriner’s, Elks Club, Saddle Club, Coffee Club and lifetime member of the NRA. When his health allowed, he was a pilot and loved to fly. He also enjoyed playing golf and woodworking. Bob loved collecting guns, at one time he had a very large collection.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-dad, Louis Juracek; son, Kenneth Clark; two cousins, Kenneth Moser and Janet Christensen.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Clark of Aurora; daughter, Barb Gibreal of Harvard; two grandsons, Alan (Paige) Gibreal of Grand Island and Mathew (Staci) Gibreal of Kansas City; one great-grandson, Nathaniel; and cousins, Dee Morgan and Karen Moser.
