Dr. Bruce Covington, 62, of Hampton, died Monday, May 4, 2009.

Dr. Bruce C. Covington, son of Robert and Katherine (Gupton) Covington, was born in New Orleans, La. on Nov.29, 1946.
He grew up in Morris Town, N.J.. He was a decorated F-4 pilot from who served in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He was awarded the Presidential Citation and the Distinguished Flying Cross for his service.
He earned numerous degrees receiving a PhD, masters, three bachelors and many more.
He was married to Pamela Clifton on Aug. 31, 2006 at Denver, Colo. He worked for Quantum as a quality control specialist.
Survivors include his wife Pamela of Hampton; son, Jason Covington of Houston, Texas; step-children, Pam (Ray) Lawson of Hampton, Craig Clifton of Thornton, Colo. and Paul (Lori) Dittler of Fort Morgan, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Cody, Mat, Nate Lawson of Hampton, Taylor Clifton of Thornton, Colo. and Bryce, Morgan and Colby Dittler of Fort Morgan, Colo.; brothers, Robert and Arthur Covington both of New Jersey; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
