Milton Burchett - May 22, 2012

Milton F. Burchett, 90, of Lincoln, after affectionately being cared for at Memorial Community Care in Aurora, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps in World War II and was stationed in Seething, England from 1942 to 1945. Milton was employed by the United States Postal Service for 35 years. He was also a bank courier for First National Bank for 34 years.
He actively served at Temple Baptist and Faith Bible Churches. He enjoyed reading and traveling. He loved to discuss the events of WWII Air Corps.
Milton is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Vera M. Burchett; daughters, Connie (Warren) Lyon of Aurora and Marsha (John) Hurst, of Lincoln; grandsons, Christopher (Rebekah) Lyon, Joshua (Amy) Lyon, Mitchell (Sarah) Lyon, Matthew (Deana) Loos, Scott (Marly) Hurst, Jeff (Amy) Thomas; nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service are Friday, May 25, at 12:30 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 So. 14th Street, Lincoln. Pastor Tom Rempel willofficiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorials will be divided between Tabitha Hospice and Jerusalem Prayer Team. C/o Lincoln Memorial. Condolences can be left at
