Kenneth H. Wiese - April 25, 2012

Kenneth H. Wiese, 85, of Grand Island, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Hamilton Manor in Aurora.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home in Grand Island. The Rev. Jack Sample will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Hamilton Manor or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Mr. Wiese was born on Sept. 6, 1926 at Doniphan, to Max and Elsie Wiese. He grew up on the family farm.
He was united in marriage to Gladys Christensen in June of 1946. He continued to farm and ranch with his parents in the Ainsworth and Grand Island area. Gladys preceded him in death on April 4, 1970.
He was united in marriage to Bonnie Kucera on Jan. 5, 1973.
In addition to farming Ken also worked as a truck driver for Nordon Laboratories and Sperry New Holland. During retirement years he worked part time for Schuppan Motors and the Grand Island Public Schools.
Ken loved life and is loved by all who knew him.
He was a member of the Platt Duetsche Society. Ken loved to dance and listen to Polka music.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two daughters, Susan (Deryl) Lantzer and Cherri (Paul) Fischer; a son, Rick (Linda) Wiese; a stepdaughter, Kathy (Art) Fullwood; and three stepsons, Frank (Theresa) Kucera, Steve (Ronna) Kucera and Stuart (Brenda) Kucera.
He is also survived by grandchildren Melissa (Kirk) Reichardt, Patrick (Misty) Vanderheiden, Nicole (James) Wilson, Cassandra (Jeff) Fink, Cole (Rissa) Lantzer, Michelle (Ryan) Steffen, Kimberly (Mike) Penrose, Jeremy Wiese, Jason (Mackenzie) Wiese, Stacie (Todd) Balfour and 25 great grandchildren.
Ken was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys; an infant son, Robert Kenneth; and his parents, Max and Elsie Wiese.
